Welcome to Second Grade

Howdy Second Graders,
Welcome to 2nd grade!  Lasso up for a fantastic 2012-2013 school year!  As we gallop through the school year, we will focus on many skills that will prepare you for success in the future. To help saddle up for the school year, there are many important tidbits that the 2nd grade ranchers (teachers) would like to share with you.
The most important things to start a plumb good day are to eat your chow, throw on your uniform, and to arrive to school on time.  The ranchers expect all cowboys and cowgirls to come to school prepared with all the tools they need to be successful. Communication is very important.  All ranchers will use a planner as a tool to communicate with your folks.  It must be signed every night.  The planners are used daily so your folks can converse with your ranchers.
So our little cowboys and cowgirls are not bumps on a log , we would appreciate if you worked just a smidgen on the things down yonder:
*start practicing your addition and subtraction facts up to 18
*read at least 15 minutes every day
*practice writing about exciting summer activities
Have a boot kickin’ summer! We will see you all at the corral, August 20th!
